2009 Estate Angle of Repose Syrah

Approximately three-quarters of a ton of Syrah grapes was hand harvested from The Angle of Repose block along with about 5% Viognier on September 15, 2009.  The must was cold soaked for three days, then co-fermented in an open top fermentor, three times a day the cap was punched down, basket-pressed into a new 400 liter Taransaud French oak puncheon where it lived for 42 months.  The Angle was bottled unfined and unfiltered on April 17, 2013.  44 cases of 750 ml bottles were produced with an alcohol of 13.8%, TA 0.60 and ph 3.9.
