2012 Estate Syrah

Product Image

Our 2012 vintage is an aromatic ally complex and well balanced wine, deep red in color, with a small amount of opacity. It’s showcasing its fruity side; the tannins are softening; it starts out with dark fruit, hints of cocoa and pipe tobacco, and as it opens up, bright red fruits, vanilla, tea, and cherries.

Harvest for this vintage began September 21 and continued until October 7 - our longest harvest time. We began to process before the sun had made its appearance for the day.  Summer was winding down, but it was still very warm in the late afternoons, and crisp in the early mornings while we processed our year’s harvest of fruit for 2012.
