2014 Estate Rose of Syrah

Product Image

This  beautiful wine begins with a floral nose, followed by full bodied summer ripe wild strawberry and watermelon flavors with hints of vanilla. This is a full bodied, delicious, fragrant, aromatic, dry, rich, crisp and refreshing wine.  We use the same direct press method as in the South of France.

Our 2014 Rose of Syrah was hand picked at 20.1 brix from A Block on August 16 and S Block at 19.2 brix on August 18.  Harvested whole clusters were immediately basket pressed.  The resulting beautiful lightly copper colored juice, stained from the red skins, was fermented dry in experienced 225 liter French oak barrels.  After 8 months of barrel aging, our 2014 Estate Rose of Syrah was bottled on April 10, 2014. 148 cases of 750 ml bottles were produced, with an alcohol of 12.1%, TA of .66 and a ph of 3.52.
