Our focus is sustainable hillside vineyard farming practices, and our challenge is to keep the vibrant and very vigorous Syrah and Viognier vines and property healthy and in balance, so they can continue to create memorable fruit and wine. To us, sustainable means working with environmentally sound, economically feasible and socially equitable practices, all of which we’re striving to continually improve upon. We feel we are stewards of our land, and while it is “ours” now, we are simply taking care of it, so that when the time comes, it’s just as beautiful a home for future generations.
In October of 2012 our vineyard was certified by the CSWA; the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance. Our certification states that our vineyard adopts and implements sustainable winegrowing practices according to the industry's code of best practices and commits to a "process of continuous improvement" in these practices.
